Time for another update...

Greetings to all! Life is a constant buzz of activity. We downsized the herd in the last few years due to the Lord placing a child in our midst at the end of 2023. She needed all of our extra energy for a time and will continue to need us as we move into this new year. There are a few pretty big events happening this year to take care of her properly and therefore the goat operation will not be the top priority. PLEASE if a baby goat strikes your fancy, let me know! It will be a struggle to juggle everything, and it would be helpful to move babies along as quickly as possible to their new homes. We have kept the best of the best and have some pretty exciting combos for kids this season. Don't miss out!

Another big piece of news is that we moved. Only about 15min from the old place. The new place has twice as much land as the old farm. It will be a lovely property for us to grow into... but for now, we have makeshift barns and fencing that is NOT baby goat proof!

Also, we got a new Livestock Guardian Dog, well, he's still a puppy. But someday we hope he can grow into his guardian role quite nicely. After much consideration, we decided to name him Boulder. Although Playdoh was a close second!

Shortly before Gem kids, she gets very sentimental and loving.

Hello!

Greetings sent to all! We have had some big changes in the last year. Including the unexpected death of a loved one. And then, towards the end of last year, the Lord gave us a little girl who needed a family- a few weeks ago, she became officially ours! we also have bought a new property with 10 acres which will be nice because our current location is only five… However it is taking a while to get it all remodeled, fences built, etc. to get moved over there. We have downsized a bit on Goats for now, and have kept the best of the best, because we still have a passion for Goats. we love the dairy and really believe in our animals. We just don’t have time for a large scale operation right now. feel free to check in on the Facebook page. we plan to have a couple of kiddings at the end of the year so that we can have some milk during the colder months.

Another general update.

Hello to all! We do not post much on here as you can tell... Hop on over to the Facebook page for tons of videos and pictures... This year we will be selling several does in milk AND some big news- we will also be offering our Dills buck Guiness for sale!!! Due to some unforeseen health struggles of mine, the goat care has fallen mostly on my husband Brian's shoulders and so we are trying to reduce numbers more this year... We have already had some real beauties born and still have six more girls due to kid by May. Speaking of May, you should come see us at Baker creek Spring Planting festival this year! We plan to bring some babies along with some of my mom's lovely soaps and things and Brian plans to make some Peruvian potato shovels- a must have for any serious gardener in my opinion. So, yeah, happy spring Y'all! Hope to hear from you soon!

General update

Thought I would do a general update because it’s been a little while! Basically done kidding for the season except we do have one more girl due the end of this month… That is, as long as she is bred! The Children have been growing fast and enjoy helping out around the farm. We added a few hair sheep to help maintain the pastures. We have kept backed several doelings this year and so that means next kidding season we plan to sell several mamas in milk with or without their babies. If you are interested I would be happy to put you on the list to notify you if and when we decide for sure who and when.

“Dandy”

They named the kitty “Firenut”

The rose bed, which is hopefully far enough away from the goats that if they get out they won’t destroy them.

If you notice these guys look like they’re expecting something… Sometimes my children are not fast enough and so the baby goats bust into the back porch and then added bonus if the house door is open they will bust into the house as well. Fun times.

“Doozie”

“Frisky”

Ok, bye for now. Hope you enjoyed the photos! Brianna
